The recent landing of the Curiosity Rover on Mars was an incredible feat of engineering and a testament to American excellence. NASA scientists had divided the targeted landing area into 1 mile squares, a total of 151 of them.

Oh yes, it was in quadrangle 51.
I wonder if they could use some of these on the surface of Mars...
